Yuppokun, the official Tokyo Sento Association mascot, who I met at one of the following places. Revisit part one here.

Matsumoto-yu (Ochiai Station, Map)

The paradox of relaxing is needing to carefully plan when to relax. Recent interest in sento (public bath) and sauna means places can suddenly become very crowded by folks trying to chill. This is especially true at night or on weekends, peak periods for those seeking the chance to zone out.

It’s a situation I’ve become all to familiar with as I too try to find time to take it easy. Which is why I’ve arrived to Matsumoto-yu near Ochiai Station in the early afternoon, in hopes of beating the rush.
