Most idol groups view a concert at Nippon Budokan as something to work towards, often taking years to achieve if at all.
For Phantom Sitta, a project that debuted this past June and had only just put out one album ahead of this show, used the venue as the place to hold their solo live debut. Certainly not the typical idol story.
Then again, Phantom Sitta underline everything exhilarating and anxiety-inducing about modern J-pop eyeing the global stage.
