A show at Tokyo Dome feels big in all senses. I’m reminded of this while walking around the entire circumference of the venue looking for the guest entrance. It takes about 15 minutes to circle around, although that’s partially becuase of how packed the area is with fans here to see rock band King Gnu on the second night of the Tokyo stop of its current nationwide dome tour.
After arriving back at the Taco Bell next to gate 22, I ask staff where to go. In a revelation driving home the size of the venue, I’m instructed to go away from Tokyo Dome, go down stairs, and look for an entrance in another building. I do, snack through what appears to be a different area…which leads to a massive garage-like zone where they’ve set up tables full of people dolling out passes. I get mine and snake further through the out-of-sight area, eventually navigating into the first-floor concourse…weirdly, next to the Taco Bell inside Tokyo Dome.
